Between oil tycoon Monty Miller on Landman and his Elon Musk dupe over on The Morning Show, Jon Hamm has been spending a lot of time in Texas lately, at least on TV. Next year, he’ll pop in to Texas’ premier television fest in the flesh to talk about another defining part: Mad Men’s Don Draper.
ATX TV Festival announced today that Hamm will appear at the 2025 fest for a Mad Men retrospective timed to the 10th anniversary of the show’s finale, which concluded seven seasons about a brilliant but self-destructive ad man in 1960s Manhattan. It’ll be his first appearance at the Austin festival, and he’s expected to “reflect on the show and its imprint on popular culture.”
Returning, in ATX vernacular, for its 14th “season” this spring, the festival also announced today a live recording of the Suits podcast Sidebar with stars Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty as well as live script readings from two much-loved sitcoms, Golden Girls and Designing Women (file under: Eighties faves starring vintage babes).
Today’s 2025 programming news joins a previously announced Leftovers reunion, an UNReal 10th anniversary retrospective, and an acting class with Barry and Happy Days star Henry Winkler.
The 2025 ATX TV Festival takes place May 29-June 1, 2025, in Downtown Austin. Find out more at atxfestival.com.
