It’s not even official for another month, but we all know it’s here. Summer. It’s easy enough to spot the warning signs: The ceiling fan’s on heavy rotation, the drive home from work requires a change of clothes afterward, and the sound of ice clinking in glass coupled with the happy hum of the air-conditioner is lustier than anything you’ll find behind the counter at Dreamers.

It’s all about staying cool, and in that endeavor, my hot, sweaty, cinephile friend, you’ve all the answers you need right here in our listings of summer film series. Kick back in the comfort of a cool, dark theatre or, in the case of the Deep Eddy Splash Movie Nights, a nice, cool swimming pool. As always, schedules can change, so call ahead and look to “Special Screenings” in the Film Listings for additional summer screenings from the likes of the city’s Movies in the Park and Rolling Roadshow. And cheer up — we only have five months to go.
