The Austin Chronicle is an independent, locally owned and operated alternative newsweekly that reflects the heart and soul of Austin, Texas.
The mainstay director of Hong Kong’s Shaw Brothers studio was Chang Cheh. His Shaolin Temple kung fu movies contained mythical grandeur and kinetic action that laid the groundwork for the Hong Kong action cinema of the next two decades. Chang died in 2002 and this double bill is shown in his memory.
