Based on the 2005 documentary of the same name, the film is a fictionalized account of the 2002 Bolivian presidential elections, and pits Bullock against Billy Bob Thornton (going full-on James Carville), her longtime rival who is working for the opposition. Local musician and frequent Green collaborator David Wingo composed the music on the film. Our Brand Is Crisis film opens in theatres October 30, but will have its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival later this month. Here’s a first look.
