The Refinery Reform Campaign of the Austin-based Sustainable Energy and Economic Development Coaltion (S.E.E.D.) hosts this advance screening of a P.O.V. installment to be aired later this month on PBS. Fenceline documents the struggles of a small African-American community situated in Louisiana’s “Cancer Alley” to be treated fairly in light of the petrochemical industry’s neglect of their health concerns. S.E.E.D. was closely involved in spearheading the negotiations and community action that led to the buyout or relocation of hundreds of victims.
