We’ve already expressed a sneaking suspicion that the Drafthouse is fixed on global domination. Further evidence? They’ve launched (swallow) a lifestyle website.

Well, that’s how the press release puts it, at least. With only a cursory lookover, it seems more like a pop culture blog, this one catering to the Drafthouse’s signature audience. Badass Digest appears to manned mostly by former CHUD blogger Devin Faraci, and what he has to riff on is right up the Drafthouse devotee’s alley: DVD reviews of Antichrist and “Badass Hall of Fame”-er Warren Oates’s Two Lane Blacktop; a classic trailer of The Tingler; a fun look at the toy tie-ins to the awesomely bad Stallone arm-wrestling pic Over the Top; and viral videos, like a seriously weird Zack Galifianakis Dallas-based interview that is surely meant in homage to his Two Ferns series.

You can digest all the badassness here.
