Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan may have named their production company Troublemaker Studios, but they’re going out of their way to make sure they don’t make any trouble for their neighbors. Well, or at least that they warn them in advance. From an Austin neighborhood listserv:

“A major motion picture will be filming next week, and the film makers will be setting off explosions and simulated gunfire nearby. You may hear some of these special effects November 9th – 12th, 7AM to 7PM. Please be advised that it’s all simulated, and reassure any neighbors that may not have received and read this email.

Further digging (okay, we followed a link) let us know that the film in question is Predators, the franchise relaunch directed by Nimród Antal (Kontroll) and produced by Rodriguez; filming will take place near Troublemaker Studios on the Eastside.
