On Saturday, 700 ticketholders to the Mondo Mystery Movie event were still in the dark about the evening’s entertainment when they boarded buses for Highland Mall. Waiting to greet them were a couple hundred zombies (including the Chronicle‘s Marc Savlov, pictured), as well as George Romero and a print of his 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead.
