Cinematexas is a series of screenings, performances, and events at various venues around town beginning Tuesday (9/17) and continuing through Sunday (9/22). Showcases include presentations (some in competition and some not) of student film work, international shorts, jury screenings, and retrospective screenings. Other highlights include a program of short silent films selected by Terrence Malick, an in-person presentation of nonfiction films by Werner Herzog, and a showcase of films by Cuban director Santiago Alvarez.
