Spanish-language drama Even the Rain opens theatrically in April 15, but Austinites will get an early look this Wednesday.
Cine las Americas will present a special screening of the film April 6 at the Regal Metropolitan. It stars Gael García Bernal as a film director trying to mount a production in Bolivia while dealing with the local issue of water deprivation at the hands of corporations. (Scroll down for trailer.)
The screening also marks a gearing up for the 14th annual Cine las Americas International Film Festival, which takes place April 21-28. Check out the CLA website for ticket info.
