Just a few minutes ago, word came down from the mountain – you know, the one(s) in Park City, Utah – announcing the 2010 Sundance Film Festival competition film lineup. Making the cut this year? Austin native son Bryan Poyser.
Poyser, a longtime Austin fixture as both a filmmaker and as the Director of Artist Services at the Austin Film Society, will screen his black comedy Lovers of Hate in the super-prestigious Narrative Feature Competition. Big-time congrats to Poyser: It’s an honor that runs, we’re sure, second only to his 2009 “Best of Austin” award for being “Texas film’s central clearinghouse … and its biggest cheerleader.”
