This Lerner and Loewe musical was brought to the screen by the maverick Arthur Freed unit of MGM and directed by one of the masters, Vincente Minnelli. The story has two Americans becoming lost while on a hunting trip in Scotland and discovering the village of Brigadoon the one day every 100 years that it is visible.
