Based on a Japanese manga character created by Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy), the star of this animated feature is an asocial medical genius who operates without a license and dresses in black. When a breed of superhumans falls prey to a mysterious illness, Black Jack uses his scalpel to get to the heart of the conspiracy. (Warning: should not be confused with actor Jack Black.)
