stock from Kodak.
COMPETITION JUDGES:
NARRATIVE FEATURES: Michelle Forman previously worked at 40 Acres and a Mule as
Director of Development and is now working on her first feature film; Suzanne
Myers directed Alchemy, the narrative feature winner in last year’s
SXSW Festival, and she is also a force behind the Women’s Film Festival in New
York; Dan Rosen is a scriptwriter whose most recent credit is The Last
Supper; Joe Stevens is an actor who has appeared in numerous feature and
short subject films, including two short films playing in the festival,
Breezeway and Beyond Babylon.
DOCUMENTARY FEATURES: Peter Byck directed Garbage, which won last year’s
documentary feature award at SXSW; Marian Luntz is the film curator at the
Houston Museum of Fine Art; Judith Sims is film curator at the Austin Museum of
Art, Laguna Gloria.
NARRATIVE SHORTS: Mark Hansen teaches film and English at Southwest Texas State
University in San Marcos; David Layton works for Austin Filmworks.
DOCUMENTARY SHORTS: Jon Ausbrooks began in*situ, a film collective in Austin;
Paige Martinez’s documentary, Words of Our Ancients, played at this
year’s Sundance Film Festival.
MUSIC VIDEOS: Tim Hamblin is the Artistic Director at the Austin Music Network;
Robbie Jacks is an actor, singer, and songwriter, who has starred as
Leatherface in The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and is the
author of the play Boy Problems; Marc Savlov is a music lover and film
reviewer for The Austin Chronicle; Teresa Taylor is the former
drummer for the Butthole Surfers, the poster girl for Slacker, and the
film critic on Robbie Jacks` KJFK-FM talk show.
