Lazy river enthusiasts are already plenty used to making the hourlong trek to New Braunfels hottest coolest time in Texas, yall but the Alamo Drafthouse is serving up another reason to road trip southwesterly with the announcement of a new theatre.
The Drafthouse is teaming up with Reel Dinner Partners to take over an existing 35,000 square foot space located in the Marketplace Shopping Center, half a mile south of I-35 and Highway 46. Remodeling begins this summer, with an expected opening of operations in the fall.
Alamo Drafthouse New Braunfels Marketpace will have eleven screens, naturally tricked out with high-tech projection and offering the same dine-in experience and eclectic programming thats turned the Drafthouse into a national brand. Following in the steps of other theatre-adjacent bars like the Alamo Souths HighBall and Alamo Slaughters 400 Rabbits, the Alamo Marketplace theatre will keep patrons well-lubricated with lounge Glass Half Full.
This isnt even the first expansion announcement of the week: On Tuesday, the Drafthouse revealed plans to open a theatre in El Paso.
