Not reviewed at press time. This new film opening has me stumped. Check out the trailer at www.afterlastseason.com, and see if you can figure out what this movie is about. The director says it’s a psycho-thriller whose protagonists are medical students. iTunes lists the film under “comedy.” The trailer and film clips feature baffling conversations, barren sets, affectless performances, and chintzy-looking animation. It is reportedly premiering this weekend in four Cinemark locations across the country. After Last Season may be the latest example of what it means to “keep Austin weird.”
