The Chicano/Latino Film Forum is back in action following a hiatus. And what better way to celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Feast Day than with this award-winning documentary by Mexican cinematographer and filmmaker Juan Francisco Urrusti? Eight years in the making, this film documents the annual journey of faith undertaken by pilgrims to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. Filmed in English, Spanish, and Nuhuatl, this print has English subtitles. Two screenings are scheduled. The Sunday screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker via phone hook-up.
