Over a weekend marked by blissfully tame temperatures, Austin Food & Wine Festival attendees experienced a gastronomic celebration like no other, with food and wine enthusiasts converging to savor a diverse array of bites from local and regional chefs. The chef demonstrations were instructive and, at times, raucous, and the wine and spirit tastings were educational and titillating. Photographer David Brendan Hall captured the essence of this culinary extravaganza. – Chronicle Food Editor Melanie Haupt -
