Ah, to be a Wal-Mart developer.
Many perks with the gig, we’re sure, but this has got to be one the most fun sending letters to municipalities telling them to get bent shall they deviate from your wishes.
That was the case last week, as the fine folks at Wal-Mart Realty sent a letter to Northcross point person Laura Huffman describing their new smaller store, glowing corporate citizenhood, and, oh yeah, if anybody sues us, we’re pulling all this wonderful shit. Read it for yourself to the right.
Responsible Growth for Northcross ain’t havin’ it but instead are hosting a presser at noon today to explain their dissatisfaction with the “threat letter.”
Sorry Wal-Mart, but to us, a smaller supercenter is like being a little bit preggers i.e., there’s no such thing.
Here’s a direct PDF download of the letter, if you’re into that sorta thing.
