… Senate Bill 362, Troy Fraser‘s voter ID bill, hasn’t actually passed the Senate yet, contrary to what I’ve previously reported. It passed the Senate’s “committee of the whole” last week, and on Tuesday, it should pass on its actual floor vote and then get sent to the House. (That was supposed to happen today, but Fraser spotted a clerical error and will delay the debate until tomorrow.)

Given the 19-12 edge the Republicans hold, passage is really just a formality, although it could be a lengthy one … Quorum Report says that Democrats could try to slap as many as 50 amendments to the bill, but don’t be surprised if all are shot down 19-12. The Senate will convene at 9am on Tuesday.
