Prairie advocates hope the upcoming bond election will allow the city to buy a few of the undeveloped tallgrass prairie remnants in Central Texas. The city currently owns two partially restored tallgrass prairies (8 and 10). There are also isolated railroad remnants (4 and 7); the rest is in private hands.
