We’re on a “five-minute” break that has turned into 30.
San Antonio Democratic Sen. Leticia van de Putte is talking to reporters near the media table.
“Voter ID takes out three to four percent from Democratic candidates in any election,” she said. “Six to eight years ago the Republicans weren’t clamoring for this, when they were winning. Now that the margins are slimmer,” she said, the GOP is acting as if this is a crucial issue.
