UPDATE: The seat went to Downtown Austin Alliance Advisory Board member Beverly Silas.

Travis County will fill its slot on the new Capital Metro board of directors at its Commissioners Court meeting today. Current board member Mike Manor, who was not reappointed to his CAMPO slot and thus sought the Travis Co. slot, did not make the cut. The candidates are:

Sandy Baldridge, a CPA, president of the Oak Hill Associations of Neighborhoods and a member of Austin’s Zoning and Platting Commission;

Kenny Taylor, a management consultant, former CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and a Leadership Austin board member; and

Beverly Silas, head of a public involvement firm, former executive director of Envision Central Texas and Downtown Austin Alliance Advisory Board member.
