The Austin Chronicle is an independent, locally owned and operated alternative newsweekly that reflects the heart and soul of Austin, Texas.
Local poet, writer, community and human rights activist raúlrsalinas ha muerto. He passed away after a long illness Wednesday morning, Feb. 13.
Funeral arrangements are pending. In the meantime, an altar has been erected in his honor at La Peña, 227 Congress Avenue. Access is available during regular business hours (till 5pm).
There are tentative plans for a poetry reading of his work. Details will be posted here as they become available.
