The forum between Austin Energy General Manager candidates Larry Weis and David Wright took place on June 30 at the Town Lake Center. The video coverage is available at the Channel 6 online archives or you can watch it right here.

The video covers statements from the candidates about their qualifications and a Q&A session by those who attended the forum. Topics up for discussion include the transition to renewable energy and a new business model to that will conserve resources while protecting the bottom line.

Both candidates are from California, a state leading in the renewable energy crusade. Weis is currently the general manager and CEO of Turlock Irrigation District, while Wright is the general manager of Riverside Public Utilities. See A Glimpse at AE’s GM Candidates for more details on the two.
