Still lots of City Council action to mull over from the last couple of days the vexing question of building diversity at the Austin Fire Department, fallout (if any) from council’s crisis pregnancy center decision, and just what the hell our mayor is doing in Taiwan. So the Hustle’s going to do just that. Mull.

The Rail Committee of the Capital Metro Board of Directors meets at the Cap Metro offices, 2910 E. Fifth, 1pm.
The Austin Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities meets in the Boards and Commissions Room in City Hall, 301 W. Second, noon. Subcommittee reports on access and youth initiatives and
employment and awards are on the agenda.The Sustainable Food Policy Board’s Access and Wellness Committee gathers at Palm Square, 100 N. IH-35, 12:30pm. Reports on community gardens and urban farming, and an update on their food access study will be offered.
The Historic Landmark Commission’s Special Certificate of Appropriateness Committee takes over One Texas Center, Room 525, 505 Barton Springs, 5pm. Seeking certificates for remodel/renovation are historic homes, and the Paramount Theater, out to tweak their lighting.
The Parks and Recreation Board‘s Navigation Committee huddles in the PARD Conference Room, 200 S. Lamar, 5pm, to consider boat dock applications. PARD’s Land & Facilities crew then meets in their department building’s board room, 6pm, to get a briefing on the Waller Creek District Master Plan.
The mighty Waterfront Overlay Task Force meets in Room 500 of One Texas Center, 5pm. They’ll entertain a staff briefing and possible action on an addition to Zachary Scott Theater.
The Board of Adjustment and Sign Review meets in council chambers, 5:30pm. They await 10 public hearings on requested variances.
The Transportation Policy Board of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) meets at the Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez, 6pm. Public hearing on the CAMPO 2035 plan is scheduled.
The Planning Commission’s Comp Plan Committee heads to the B&C room, 6pm. Among their new business: Presentation of data/information on best practice policy issues related to Historic and Cultural Preservation in Austin that should be considered as part of the Comprehensive Plan.
