The Beto-Castro-meter is just about out of juice. Both Texans ended this week’s debate about where they started, neither likely to make November’s debate stage in Georgia and thus disappearing from the national race. O’Rourke still has some structural advantages over Castro in terms of funding, field (both in Iowa and Texas), and star power, but the party is signaling that it’s ready to winnow the field.
