Rep Kirk England, D-Grand Prairie. Yup, you're reading that right.

Score another win for the Democrats in the Texas House, this one without a single vote being cast: Rep. Kirk England, R-Grand Prairie, will switch parties tomorrow. He told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “After one session in the House, I found that the Republican leadership in Austin had no tolerance for the values and priorities of the folks I represent. That is why [Thursday] at 10 a.m., I will announce my intention to seek re-election to the Texas House as a Democrat.”

In other words: screw you, Tom Craddick.
