• “Backward Through the Fog: RAGfotos,” an exhibition of Rag “staff photographer” Alan Pogue’s images from the late 1960s through mid-1970s, is Thursday, Sept. 1; 6-10pm at the Old School, 1604 E. 11th. An opening reception, during which the Melancholy Ramblers will perform and lead a protest and labor song sing-along, will commemorate Pogue’s work.

• “The Rag Art Show“ is Friday, Sept. 2, 7:09-10pm at the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture, 1516-B S. Lamar. The Tommy Hall Schedule will perform outside in the museum parking lot during the event, complete with a light show.

• “Rag Mama Rag,“ a Seventies music scene concert featuring Uranium Savages, Freddie Steady 5, and Shiva’s Headband, is Saturday, Sept. 3, 8pm-midnight in the beer garden at Threadgill’s World Headquarters, 304 W. Riverside – $5 cover.

• In the same vein as the reunion, Alan Pogue’s photos of legendary Austin hangout Les Amis will be on display at the Dandelion Cafe on 1115 E. 11th, during Labor Day weekend.
