PUBLIC SAFETY GROUPS TO MAKE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT IN AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL RACES

(AUSTIN) – The Austin Police Association, Austin Firefighters Association, and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services Employees Association will hold a joint news conference on Tuesday to make a major announcement about their endorsements in the upcoming Austin City Council races.

The three leading public safety groups together represent nearly 2,500 police, firefighters, and EMS personnel. Their joint endorsement of Austin City Council candidates is an historic development and underscores the importance of public safety issues in this election.
