After three days of testimony a federal jury on Thursday afternoon found Jose Pardo and Jorge Carrillo both guilty of participating in a conspiracy to traffic heroin.
Federal prosecutors successfully argued that Carrillo provided heroin to a large and long-running heroin-trafficking organization led by now-deceased patriarch of Jovtia’s Tex-Mex restaurant, Amado Pardo. Pardo’s brother Jose also bought heroin from Carrillo, prosecutors argued.
Pardo and Carrillo will be sentenced on May 3. Each man faces life in prison.
