  • The International Women’s Day March will start on Wednesday, March 8, at 11am at Republic Park. It will be followed by a rally at the Capitol from 12:15-1:15pm. The primary focus will be on economic justice. Contact Nancy Hawkins at hawk10@texas.net for more info.
  • The Campaign to End the Death Penalty is sponsoring a rally and picket to demand that Gov. Bush issue a moratorium on executions on Saturday, March 4, at 2pm outside the Governor’s Mansion, 11th and Colorado.
  • Early voting for the March 14 primaries started Monday, Feb. 28, and continues through Friday, March 10 at 17 locations throughout the county, from 7am-7pm Mon-Sat, and noon-6pm Sunday, March 5. You do not have to vote in your precinct during early voting. For further info, contact the Elections Division of the Travis County Clerk‘s office at 473-9553.
