With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, the Austin Humane Society is hoping you’ll feel lucky – and will let some furry love into your life.
The AHS is hosting another adoption event this weekend, Saturday and Sunday (March 12 and 13) at their North Austin shelter. Adoption fees for all animals over six months will be reduced to just $20, which includes vaccinations, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip implantation. What a deal!
Among the furry friends awaiting adoption are Betty and Buster, an 11-year-old brother and sister yellow Labrador duo. “They were dropped off at Town Lake Animal Center [with] little chance of being adopted there,” AHS Executive Director Frances Jonon says. But the AHS staff “fell in love with them” and brought them into the AHS adoption program “where they are now waiting to meet their new family.”
