U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (l) and challenger, state Rep. Rick Noriega

Finally, some stability in the Senate race polling. In results published Aug. 21, Rasmussen Reports shows incumbent Republican John Cornyn enjoying a 48% to 37% lead over Democratic challenger Rick Noriega, a state representative from Houston. That’s almost identical to the numbers RR published three weeks ago. When “leaners” are included, RR says, the race is Cornyn 52%, Noriega 38%.
