You know its gonna be a crazy night when CNN pulls out a whole box of new E-night tricks.

This year the crack election team is flaunting their “virtual reporter,” where you get to see their correspondents from various locations projected, in pseudo holographic form, onto the newsroom floor (think Princess Leia from the original Star Wars) — although its unclear why we’d want to see them on the newsroom floor instead of live from their in-the-field location (just because they can, that’s why!). And to keep Mr. Hair busy — that is, election map guru John King — they’re now using a “virtual Capitol,” wherein King can pull up Congressional seats and races and float the winners around the Capitol dome.

Neat, eh? Man, those CNNers know how to par-tay!
