Item 2: Approve an ordinance to increase appropriations by $500,000 for the Mexican American Cultural Center – after the MACC’s boosters raised hell when the center was passed over in the first round of bond money appropriations.

Item 4: Giving $40,000 incentives to NBC Universal Inc. for every season of Friday Night Lights filmed here, with more promised if they stay. Quick, somebody poke Kelso with a stick! (Update: Initially this item incorrectly stated the amount as $400,000, and has since been corrected.)

Item 10: A $200,000 change order to the redevelopment at Seaholm to broaden a water main at the area to further development. Brings total to $2.25 million.

Item 30-31: Approve a resolution relating to the compensation and benefits for the city clerk and city auditor. It’s that time of the year again.

Item 37. Waving $1,100 in street permit fees for the Austin American Statesman’s Capitol 10K. Heaven forfend!

Item 55: The Mohawk nightclub Downtown seeks central business district zoning, likely as part of their expansion plans including a larger stage and a coffee shop.

Item 62-63: Zoning change at the Downtown post office to CBD-CURE, required for the towering mixed-use plans there.

Item 64-65: All but assured final approval of the East Avenue PUD, i.e., redevelopment of the Concordia campus.

5:30pm: Live Music from the Lamar Middle School Choir. Heard they raised quite the South by Southwest ruckus.
