City Council won’t select an architect for the new Central Library this Thursday as posted; that decision has been postponed to Nov. 20. Among other reasons, there was a high degree of public input through 10/31, and hardly any time for council to digest it. The extra time allows for further staff briefing of the City Manager, Mayor and Council regarding the selection process that led to ranking the top three firms. Staff has recommended that council select the design team led by local firm Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects, with Holzman Moss.
