So, it’s official: presumptive GOP Presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), has named Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (a dead-ringer for King of the Hill matriarch Peggy Hill, if you ask me) as his choice for veep.

McCain (who turns 72 today – 72 people!) made the selection official at a Dayton, Ohio, presser amid supporters roaring “U.S.A! U.S.A!”

Whatever you might think of Palin, McCain probably could’ve done worse – like his folks did with the selection of the music that preceded his announcement: Van Halen‘s “Right Now,” from their 1991 album For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

Oh yeah.
