The Belo Texas poll that I’ve mentioned in previous posts is actually a tracking poll, meaning that they poll on consecutive nights, and release the results of the most recent three nights. Belo is interviewing 400 Texans each night – therefore, each poll has 1,200 respondents.

(Belo, if you didn’t know, is a major media company based in Dallas that owns the Dallas Morning News and, here in Austin, KVUE-TV.)

The original release on Tuesday showed Clinton leading Obama 46%-43%. Wednesday night’s poll showed Obama narrowing the gap – Clinton is holding steady at 46%, but Obama moves up to 45%. And Thursday’s results, announced just minutes ago on KVUE, show Obama ahead 46%-45%. Since the margin of error is +/-2.8%, this race is still anybody’s guess.
