This mural by artist Kerry Awn would have appeared on the new Planet K location planned in Bee Cave at the site of the former Trading Post on Highway 71. But in an apparent move to discourage the “adult novelty” store from setting up shop, the city council last week passed several ordinances seemingly targeted at the store, including a redefinition of “mural” such that any image painted directly on a wall – including this amiable longhorn enjoying a tranquil afternoon among the bluebonnets – would be disallowed if visible from a public street.
