The teenage horrors of PromiseLand’s Virtual Hell are many — domestic violence (A) leading to teen suicide (B), or jail time for drug crimes (C), or traumatic abortions for young girls (D), or even schoolyard massacres (E and F). Indeed, Virtual Hellions end up confronting Ol’ Scratch himself (G) — but can escape through prayer and worship (H). “We want to reach people,” says PromiseLand youth pastor Ricky Poe, “[but] we’re not shoving this down their throats.”
