Just in time for the Monahans show tonight with Centro-matic and Future Clouds & Radar at the Parish, the local quintet has released this memorable slide-show video for It’s Enough To Leave You…, the standout single from the Monahans forthcoming Misra debut, Dim the Aurora. Theres still a lot of space and some instrumentals, frontman Greg Vanderpool says of the album, but theres definitely some rock songs on it that sets it apart from Low Pining. See for yourself.
Looking for another reason to check out show? Not only is this the last stop on Centro-matics only tour of 2009, but the band is raffling off two different prize packages. The first a house show with frontman Will Johnson for you and 20 friends at an agreeable date sometime in 2009. Then theres Centro-matic for Life, every one of Johnsons albums (Centro-matic, South San Gabriel, solo), past and future, plus two free tickets to any show for life, excluding festival appearances. Considering the rate at which Johnson is known to churn out Southern classics, thats a pretty sweet deal any way you slice it.
