The riffs ripping from Carson Brock’s debut CD, Signs, are indeed auspicious. Brock boasts near-royal bloodlines via vintage Eric Johnson bassist Kyle Brock, but the guitar muscle is pure Texas youth (“Are You Ready?,” “Serenity”). As a teenage guitarist, he surpasses his own blues-busting talents every few months, but the mostly original Signs serves notice that Brock will lead the next generation of Lone Star guitar slingers.
