The Austin Chronicle is an independent, locally owned and operated alternative newsweekly that reflects the heart and soul of Austin, Texas.
The concept album is a major undertaking for any band, especially as a debut offering. Featuring former members of A Pocketful of Deng and the War Against Sleep, Superlitebike has credentials, multipart harmonies, and ambition in spades but lacks the hooks necessary to anchor such a feat, though the sprawling “Home” and near-instrumental closer “Lets See a Jetplane” show promise.
