The latest from Rubble guitarist Bobby Baker’s band of cronies opens with rain-soaked soundscrape “Eva Mendez Rehab Stint” and continues through a lysergic cycle of recovery: denial (the droning “Judgement Judy”), anger (proto-punkish “She Lied”), and finally acceptance (the acoustic “Understanders”). There are a few slo-mo jams and a distinct VU vibe, manifesting in a stellar cover of “Some Kinda Love.”
