The Austin Chronicle is an independent, locally owned and operated alternative newsweekly that reflects the heart and soul of Austin, Texas.
With song titles like “Jam Sammich” and “Tude,” you’d be right in assuming where Toast’s jam loyalties lie. The quartet’s concoction is akin to Spyro Gyra’s jazz fusion blended on high with touches of electronica. The jams get off the ground but never really head for more original pastures.
