Emo is as emo does. Local fivepiece the Drawing Board, led by brothers Justin and Brandon Tapp, have the formula down. Lush sounds and pitch-perfect harmonies even combat the former Los Angelenos’ influences. Once the kick drum hits and the hooks start drooling (“Something I Can’t Have”), however, one can’t help but giggle. Thank God for guilty pleasures.
