Almost a decade old, Austin’s Handbuilt Motorcycle Show expands this year with major music bookings in partnership with leading local promoters Resound Presents.

The motorcycles-and-music festival, April 14-16, matches national headliners Sudan Archives, Soccer Mommy, and Allah-Las with daily lineups of primarily Austin-based artists. The event marks the return of the Resound team – who put on Fun Fun Fun Fest as past iteration Transmission Events – to their old stomping grounds on the shores of Lady Bird Lake. The three-day event will take place at the Austin American-Statesman grounds at 305 South Congress.

Friday, April 14, packs artful Cincinnati violinist/singer-songwriter Sudan Archives with Magna Carda, Geto Gala, and DJ Lady Wonder. Saturday offers emotive Nashville indie rock figure Soccer Mommy – alongside Good Looks, Redbud, Animals On TV, Mom Rock, and Gus Baldwin & the Sketch, with Hollywood Jones DJing in between. Sunday matches Mexican Summer-signed psych rockers Allah-Las with Amplified Heat, Money Chicha, Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band, and Superfónicos, plus Bambi spinning records.

Doors open at 5pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday and Sunday, with set times coming closer to the fest. Tickets are on sale now, with $25 daily passes and $60 three-day passes available. The new Resound partnership follows the company’s co-presentation of the relaunch of Austin Psych Fest, happening April 28-30 at the Far Out Lounge.

The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show joins a number of first-time or revived music festivals happening in the Austin area this April, including C3 Presents’ Two Step Inn in Georgetown (April 15-16) and Antone’s Nightclub’s Austin Blues Fest at Waterloo Park (April 29).
