The daughter of new country royalty Lee Ann Womack and hit songwriter Jason Sellers, Aubrie Sellers can’t seem to make up her mind on what she wants to sound like on her debut New City Blues. The 24-year-old’s pixie-like voice seems at odds with the faux metal of “Paper Doll,” which inexplicably sets up the deep introspection of the acoustic “Losing Ground.” Her tackling of today’s unrelenting pop media on “Magazines” simply piles on cliches. More songs like the clear-headed shimmer of “Loveless Rolling Stone,” which follows in her mother’s aura, would make Sellers much more believable. (4:30pm, BMI stage; Weekend One only)
