Fleetwood Mac

The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac (Rhino/Reprise) At their best, these masters of multitracking were as dense psychologically as they were instrumentally (“Go Your Own Way,” “Paper Doll”), or else they just let Stevie Nicks loose on skirt-twirling classics like “Gypsy.” Either is preferable to the inconsequential froth (“Everywhere”) and outright crap (“Family Man”) of their later years. Although nine-elevenths of Rumours is included on this 2-CD set, the luster is dimmed somewhat since the band members aren’t all sleeping with each other anymore.
